PCG Strengthens Maritime Presence in Kalayaan Island Group; Activates New District

On April 9, 2026, in commemoration of the Day of Valor, the ๐๐‚๐† officially inaugurated and activated ๐‚๐จ๐š๐ฌ๐ญ ๐†๐ฎ๐š๐ซ๐ ๐ƒ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐œ๐ญ ๐Š๐š๐ฅ๐š๐ฒ๐š๐š๐ง ๐ˆ๐ฌ๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐ ๐†๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ฉ in ๐๐š๐ -๐š๐ฌ๐š ๐ˆ๐ฌ๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐. Additional personnel will also be deployed to assist in delivering essential services like education and healthcare to residents.

According to Secretary Lopez, the establishment of the new Coast Guard Districtโ€”coinciding with the Day of Valorโ€”๐ซ๐ž๐Ÿ๐ฅ๐ž๐œ๐ญ๐ฌ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ ๐จ๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ง๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญโ€™๐ฌ ๐ฎ๐ง๐ฐ๐š๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ซ๐ž๐œ๐จ๐ ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ฌ๐š๐œ๐ซ๐ข๐Ÿ๐ข๐œ๐ž๐ฌ ๐ฆ๐š๐๐ž ๐›๐ฒ ๐๐‚๐† ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐จ๐ง๐ง๐ž๐ฅ.
