It mocks their memory when their names are invoked in vain — heard by our younger generation as if our heroes shared something in common with people of questionable character.
And most importantly, let us shed our defeatist mindset, because defeatism never represented what our heroes stood for. The only question they lived to answer was whether we deserved to be free as a nation — not whether we could defeat the powerful conquerors of our history!
