The 2025 Dialogue on ASEAN Maritime Security

The Dialogue on ASEAN Maritime Security convened from May 21-23, 2025, it  brings together Southeast Asia’s foreign policy specialists, subject-matter experts, government officials and next-generation leaders to probe opportunities for and obstacles to collective efforts on advancing a free, open, secure and rules-based maritime order in the region.

The dialogue will identify ways ASEAN members can work together to overcome issues that hinder cooperation on issues of shared concern, to re-converge each other’s interests in a rules-based regional order and to reinforce efforts that identify, deter and defeat the sources of instability and insecurity in Southeast Asian waters.
