Following a series of online attacks by the Chinese Embassy in Manila, ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐ž ๐‚๐จ๐š๐ฌ๐ญ ๐†๐ฎ๐š๐ซ๐ ๐’๐ฉ๐จ๐ค๐ž๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐จ๐ง ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐–๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐ž ๐’๐ž๐š, ๐‘๐ž๐š๐ซ ๐€๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ซ๐š๐ฅ ๐‰๐š๐ฒ ๐“๐š๐ซ๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐ฅ๐š, releases a statement through a Facebook post ๐ฎ๐ง๐๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐œ๐จ๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ก๐ข๐ฌ ๐œ๐ฅ๐ž๐š๐ซ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ฎ๐ง๐ฐ๐š๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐œ๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ to uphold his position despite the criticisms directed at him online. Rear Admiral Tarriela pushes back against how the Embassy has been responding to him regarding ๐ก๐ข๐ฌ ๐›๐จ๐ฅ๐ ๐ฌ๐ญ๐š๐ง๐œ๐ž on the ๐–๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐ž ๐’๐ž๐š.

In their online exchanges, the embassy has resorted to accusing the official of spreading โ€œfalse narratives.โ€ Moreover, instead of disproving evidence, the embassy has at times resorted to personal attacks against the PCG official.
