Without your bullying, aggression, environmental destruction, unlawful activities, and excessive claims over the South China Sea, the world would never have gained the landmark 2016 Arbitral Award. Imagine if the Chinese Communist Party had chosen to faithfully adhere to UNCLOS — we would never have had the chance to test Annex VII and the dispute settlement mechanism of the Law of the Sea.
More importantly, thank you for keeping the Award alive, especially every July. Your relentless propaganda, lies, and disinformation denying its final and binding nature ensure the world never forgets it. As a result, more countries now support the Award — because they’ve learned that whatever you deny is usually the truth.
Finally, thank you for your continued rejection of the ruling. Every denial confirms to the world that you do not honor your treaty commitments — and that a party that cannot be trusted to keep its word is a party no one can negotiate with in good faith.
