January 28, 2026 | An Indoctrination and Oath-Taking Ceremony for Filipino fisherfolk officially joining the 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐀𝐮𝐱𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞 was conducted in Bulawen, Palauig, Zambales.
The activity aimed to strengthen 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 among fisherfolk amid ongoing challenges in the West Philippine Sea. PCG Spokesperdon for the West Philippine Sea, 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐉𝐚𝐲 𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐚 , served as the guest speaker during the event, where he shared brief insights and experiences related to maritime security and highlighted the role of civilian auxiliaries as force multipliers of the Philippine Coast Guard in protecting national interests.
