A nationwide survey by ๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ฌ๐ ๐๐ฌ๐ข๐ ๐๐๐ฌ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ก ๐๐ง๐. shows ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ ๐๐ฆ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐ ๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐จ๐ฌ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ฎ๐๐ ๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ง๐ฌ๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐๐ฒ in exposing Chinaโs actions in the West Philippine Sea and for inviting ๐๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ข๐๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฉ to attend the 2026 ASEAN Summit in the Philippines.
The survey, conducted ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฆ ๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ฎ๐๐ซ๐ฒ ๐๐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ก ๐, ๐๐๐๐ among 1,200 respondents, found that 59% of Filipinos want President Trump to visit the Philippines to attend the regional summit that will be chaired by President Marcos.
Other ๐ฉ๐ซ๐๐๐๐ซ๐ซ๐๐ ๐ฅ๐๐๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ include President Vladimir Putin (10%), President Sanae Takaichi (9%), President Anthony Albanese (6%), President Lee Jae-myung (4%), and President Xi Jinping (3%).
The poll also found 68% of respondents support continuing public disclosure of Chinaโs harassment of Philippine vessels, even while the country hosts regional meetings.
In addition, Filipinos identified their ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ญ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ ๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐ญ๐ง๐๐ซ๐ฌ ๐ข๐ง ๐๐๐๐๐ง๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ซ๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ๐ฌ in the West Philippine Sea, with the United States (70%), Japan (46%), Australia (37%), Canada (26%), and Association of Southeast Asian Nations (24%).
