The 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐚𝐬𝐤 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐚 (𝐍𝐓𝐅-𝐖𝐏𝐒) announced that 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐚’𝐬 𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦, earlier monitored in the lagoon of Bajo de Masinloc, 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝.
This is based on the Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) patrol conducted by Philippine authorities this morning, June 17, 2026.
Despite the removal of the platform, the National Task Force for the West Philippine Sea (NTF-WPS) reiterated that 𝐁𝐚𝐣𝐨 𝐝𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐥𝐨𝐜 “𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲,” and will continue conducting maritime patrols and lawful activities in and around Bajo de Masinloc.
