Nearly 30 vessels believed to be part of Chinaโs Maritime Militia were monitored in various areas of the West Philippine Sea during a routine ๐๐๐ซ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐ฆ๐ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐๐ข๐ง ๐๐ฐ๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐๐ฌ๐ฌ (๐๐๐) flight conducted by the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).
PCG Spokesperson for the West Philippine Sea, ๐๐๐๐ซ ๐๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ซ๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐๐ซ๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฅ๐, said the vessels were sighted near ๐๐๐ -๐๐ฌ๐ ๐๐ฌ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ฌ๐๐จ๐๐ ๐๐ก๐จ๐๐ฅ, areas within the ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐๐ฌโ ๐๐ฑ๐๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ข๐ฏ๐ ๐๐๐จ๐ง๐จ๐ฆ๐ข๐ ๐๐จ๐ง๐ (๐๐๐). He disclosed that the aircraft crew also observed ๐๐ฅ๐๐ซ๐๐ฌ ๐๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ข๐ซ๐๐ from the vicinity of Panganiban Reef, a Chinese-occupied reef near Ayungin Shoal, while the aircraft was returning to Manila. This shows China’s continuous significant presence in the maritime area despite a ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ซ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ฅ ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ that supports ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐๐ฌโ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ข๐ฆ๐ฌ.
