A significant number of Filipino fishing vessels were observed operating near Bajo de Masinloc, during the conduct of 𝐏𝐂𝐆 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐃𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐅𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 on Saturday 21 February 2026.
During his online media briefing on Monday, 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐉𝐚𝐲 𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐚 reported that around 35 Filipino fishing boats were observed approximately 33.6 nautical miles from 𝐁𝐚𝐣𝐨 𝐝𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐥𝐨𝐜 while the Chinese Navy Warship reportedly seen approaching and challenged the vessels near 60 nautical miles off the coast of 𝐙𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬 where authorities also experienced signal disruptions for the first time.
