Rear Admiral Tarriela, together with ๐‹๐ข๐ž๐ฎ๐ญ๐ž๐ง๐š๐ง๐ญ ๐†๐ž๐ง๐ž๐ซ๐š๐ฅ ๐Œ๐ข๐œ๐ก๐š๐ž๐ฅ ๐† ๐‹๐จ๐ ๐ข๐œ๐จ ๐๐€, ๐’๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐ง๐๐ž๐ง๐ญ, ๐๐Œ๐€, urged cadets to approach discussions of maritime issues through the lens of national interest rather than partisan loyalties.

The two leaders emphasized that informed public discourse is crucial to protecting the countryโ€™s maritime rights and countering misleading narratives surrounding the ๐–๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐ž ๐’๐ž๐š.

RADM Tarriela also discussed the government’s Transparency Initiative, which documents and publicizes encounters and developments in the West Philippine Sea, during his lecture last August 10.
