𝐌𝐚𝐣𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐬 𝐨𝐫 64% 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐲 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐚, according to the latest OCTA Research Survey.
Conducted from July 4 to 11, the said survey was 𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 55% 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 2026.
The July 2026 findings suggest that 𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐚.
OCTA Research conducted the survey as the Philippines commemorated the 10th anniversary of the 2016 South China Sea Arbitral Award.
