Philippine Coast Guard Spokesperson for the West Philippine Sea, π‘πžπšπ« π€ππ¦π’π«πšπ₯ π‰πšπ² π“πšπ«π«π’πžπ₯𝐚, rejected claims of β€œπ π«πšπ§ππ¬π­πšπ§ππ’π§π β€ regarding the West Philippine Sea issue, saying that the Philippines is exercising its rights under international law and upholding the binding 2016 ruling under the π”π§π’π­πžπ 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐒𝐨𝐧𝐬 π‚π¨π§π―πžπ§π­π’π¨π§ 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐑𝐞 π‹πšπ° 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐑𝐞 π’πžπš, while continuing to advocate for a peaceful resolution.

The statement came after the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines posted photos on its Facebook page claiming that Philippine vessels had illegally intruded into their claimed territory and filmed Chinese Coast Guard vessels, despite the area being within 𝐁𝐚𝐣𝐨 𝐝𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐒𝐧π₯𝐨𝐜.
