The United States, Japan, Australia, and the Philippines successfully conducted the 6th Multilateral Maritime Cooperative Activity (MMCA) in the West Philippine Sea, reaffirming their unwavering commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific.
The drills, which involved warships and air assets, followed a joint air patrol between the Philippine Air Force and the U.S. Pacific Air Forces near Panatag Shoal. While Chinese vessels were observed from a distance, there was no interference during the activities.
This joint effort sends a strong message: Freedom of navigation and respect for international law remain top priorities in the Indo-Pacific.
