On December 6, 2024, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) hosted a Thanksgiving Year-End Party onboard the BRP Teresa Magbanua, bringing together key figures from media and academia to celebrate collaboration and progress. Senior Chief Justice Antonio Carpio, as Guest of Honor, emphasized shared commitments to uphold maritime sovereignty and sovereign rights, especially in the West Philippine Sea. The PCG Commandant, Admiral Ronnie Gil L Gavan welcomed guests with inspiring remarks, setting the tone for an evening of camaraderie and dialogue.
The event featured a guided ship tour that showcased the PCG’s capabilities and unwavering dedication to maritime security which facilitated engaging discussions over dinner.
