Fourteen countries, including the Philippines, reaffirmed in a joint statement the decision of the 2016 ๐๐ซ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ฅ ๐๐ฐ๐๐ซ๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ญ ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ซ๐ ๐ข๐ฌ ๐ง๐จ ๐ฅ๐๐ ๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ข๐ฌ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ก๐ข๐ง๐’๐ฌ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ข๐ฆ๐ฌ in the South China Sea, including those based ๐จ๐ง “๐ก๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐จ๐ซ๐ข๐ ๐ซ๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ๐ฌ.”
Joining the Philippines in supporting the 2016 arbitral ruling were ๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐, ๐๐๐ง๐๐๐, ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐จ๐ง๐ข๐, ๐๐๐ซ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ฒ, ๐๐ญ๐๐ฅ๐ฒ, ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ง, ๐๐๐ญ๐ฏ๐ข๐, ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ก๐ฎ๐๐ง๐ข๐, ๐๐๐ฐ ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ง๐, ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ข๐, ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ง๐ข๐, ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐๐ ๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ฆ, ๐๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐๐ ๐๐ญ๐๐ญ๐๐ฌ.
The countries also reaffirmed that the ๐๐ซ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ฅ ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ญ๐ฎ๐ญ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ง๐๐๐ซ ๐๐ง๐ง๐๐ฑ ๐๐๐ ๐จ๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐๐ ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ ๐๐จ๐ง๐ฏ๐๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐จ๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ฐ ๐จ๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ (๐๐๐๐๐๐) ๐ข๐ฌ ๐๐ข๐ง๐๐ฅ, ๐ฅ๐๐ ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐๐ข๐ง๐๐ข๐ง๐ , ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ ๐๐๐ญ๐ฐ๐๐๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐๐ฌ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ก๐ข๐ง๐ on the maritime entitlements and claims covered by the case.
Moreover, the countries reiterated that they strongly opposed any destabilizing or unilateral actions, including by force or coercion, that threaten peace and stability in the region.
They also urged China to abide by the 2016 Award and resolve disputes peacefully through dialogue and other lawful mechanisms in accordance with international law.
